Looking back at the London City Streets - Camden environment pack, a project I contributed to working with The Vertex Guild on this collaboration for CGHero. The main goal was to faithfully translate the distinct architectural identity and atmosphere of Camden into a production-ready package for Unreal Engine.
My primary focus, once again, was on conducting the on-site 3D scans across the city, capturing real-world architectural details directly from the streets. From there, I handled part of the architectural asset pipeline through high-poly cleanup, optimized retopology, bakes, and PBR texturing and trim sheets. I was part of the team that designed and built a flexible modular kit for seamless facade variations, complemented by optimized master materials and shaders built for peak runtime performance.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to supervise and guide a small team of artists throughout their tasks.
It was a rewarding experience bridging real-world capture with modular environment art.
